Trouble Over Tokyo
This is the calm before the storm. Toph Taylor aka TROUBLE OVER TOKYO didn’t just take all the time by choice. In the past three years after having appeared on the scene with “Pyramides”, nearly everything in his life changed. And how do you deal with your personal experiences? You write. In the best case, even a book.
“The Hurricane” is such a book with twelve chapters. It describes the slow “incarnation” of a superhero, who has been on Taylor’s side as figure and alter ego for years. He decorated posters and T-shirts drawn by hand, artwork, autographs and videos.
The Brit delivered in 2007 with “Pyramides” one of the most exciting debuts of the year, collected magazine covers and “album of the week” titles, gained attention across the continent from the Russian Rolling Stone to the Greek and French media. One of the most fitting statements came from the English “Guardian”: “[he] simultaneously recalls Thom Yorke at his most existentially anxious and Justin Timberlake at his most sexually rapacious.”
The third TROUBLE OVER TOKYO-album is released in a quite unusual way:
